When in Singapore: Budget Hotel

As a budget traveler, the first thing that comes into my mind when planning Singapore is its price. Since this country is a top tourist destination in Southeast Asia, everything seems expensive.
For one, accommodation is generally pricey in Singapore. If you're on the same page with me who would rather use my money on experiences than on expensive hotels (where I only put my bags all-day long), here's an accommodation that I can recommend.
Fragrance Hotel Imperial belongs to the Fragrance chain that offers budget accommodations in Singapore. Apart from the facilities and amenities, what I like most about this hotel is the location.
It's a 5-minute walk to the EW11 Lavender station (East West line, green line) for an easy tour around the city by train. I saved a lot by taking the train in Singapore than riding a taxi. Also, the shopping center Mustafe Centre was a manageable 15-minute walk from the hotel.
Room accommodations include breakfast. The restaurant "The Good News Restaurant" is located at the ground floor. In case you opt to eat outside, there are nearby hawker centers and food stores in variety. There's also a 7 Eleven outside the hotel that's very convenient if you need to buy something late at night.
